Pure natural, Preference Floors, Prestige Oak 15/4mm
Our client from Wahroonga contacted us to install new flooring throughout their newly purchased home. After visiting our showroom, they selected Preference Floors Prestige Oak Pure Natural, a timeless European Oak engineered timber flooring that complements both modern and classic interiors.
For this project, we installed the flooring using the direct stick (full glue-down) method. Compared with floating floors, direct stick installation provides a more solid feel underfoot, minimises movement, and helps improve the long-term stability of the floor.
To achieve a cleaner finish, we also removed and reinstalled the existing skirting boards after the installation. This eliminated the need for scotia, creating seamless transitions around every room and giving the home a more refined appearance.
One part of this project still makes us smile. Before signing the contract, the client spent nearly a week negotiating over a $500 price difference. In the end, we simply said, “Give us that $500, and we’ll make sure every dollar is reflected in the final result.” When the project was completed, the client understood exactly what we meant. The quality of the installation spoke for itself, and they knew their investment had been worthwhile.
The project included five bedrooms and a full staircase, with a total investment of approximately $18,000. The result is a beautifully finished home with premium engineered timber flooring that will be enjoyed for many years to come.
