Preference Fiddleback Engineered Australian Hardwood Flooring showcases authentic Spotted Gum and Blackbutt — two iconic Australian Eucalyptus species known for strength and durability. With Janka ratings of 11kN (Spotted Gum) and 9.1kN (Blackbutt), Fiddleback delivers excellent wear resistance and long-term performance.
Each board features a genuine Australian hardwood wear layer bonded to a stable multi-layer plywood core, combining the natural beauty of solid timber with the reliability of engineered construction. Available in classic plank, wide plank and herringbone formats, finishes include smooth or lightly brushed matte with micro-bevelled edges for enhanced plank definition. Plank formats use a click system for floating installation, while herringbone and rustic tongue & groove profiles require direct stick installation.
Care & Maintenance
Daily maintenance is simple — regular vacuuming, cleaning with a well-wrung damp mop, or using a robotic vacuum cleaner are all suitable. The manufacturer recommends Bona Timber cleaning kits for ongoing care. Floorplan Studio stocks Bona products and can provide detailed advice if required.
